Birds eye view of The Chocolate Factory.

iris-and-regThe painting was unveiled on the day the Olympic torch passed Wood Green. The lovely elderly couple who where the main subject in the painting, where presented with a print of the painting after the ceremony.

It all started one cold wet grey day when I was walking into the chocolate factory, in front of me were this couple huddles together, holding hands and walking up the path toward the car park.

I couldn’t tell who was holding who up, when I eventually ask them to pose for some photos, I found that they have been visiting the chocolate factory’s restaurant Mosaica every weekday at noon for the past 15 years. This inspired me to create this painting which also includes a few other familiar faces of the Chocolate Factory; like Steven Gregory (the artist) and also Labrinth (the singer) who has been coming to the music studios for about 4 years.

The Chocolate Factory is such a hub of artistic activity.
